With this post, JAIN would like to introduce the next 3 Young Professionals!
“Hi all, I’m Amelia and I’m a third year Psychology student at the VU Amsterdam. As of now, I am interested in learning how theory of the brain and our cognition can be applied in society.
I joined JAIN as the subject of dementia touches home for me. Gaining insight on the issue, I believe, can help many to understand the importance of the cause.
Furthermore, artificial intelligence has been a hot topic recently and I believe that the research and development in this field can really help create possible aid for ones suffering from dementia. I believe that JAIN is a great place to start and learn more about the combination of AI and psychological research.”
“Hi, I’m Sterre! I’m an Artificial Intelligence student in my second bachelor year at the VU Amsterdam. I have always been interested in the future and how we can connect people and technology. Also, I am studying a specialization track named Socially Aware Computing where different aspects such as psychology, health care, law and sociology are discussed in combination with AI.
Therefore, I chose to be a part of the Young Professionals at JAIN. I wanted to see for myself how the field of social AI is developing with all of its interesting and amazing aspects. I think JAIN is a great example of human-robot interaction which can be implemented in practice, in this case with dementia.”
“Hey! I am Gökçe and a third year Psychology student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During my studies I did not only learn about the way our memory works, but also how our daily lives can be impacted by memory loss diseases. Therefore, I am looking forward to learn more about helpful implementation of psychology into technology.
By joining the JAIN Young Professionals, I hope to contribute to improve the quality of life of people with dementia.”
JAIN welcomes the 3 JYPs and is looking forward to bring them in contact with JAIN’s Experts!
