This week, JAIN presents another honourable and good friend: prof. dr. Marjolein de Vugt. She is a professor of Psychosocial Innovations in Dementia at the department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology, Universiteit Maastricht, and a crucial expert for JAIN.
JAIN is very impressed by her devotion from the heart, into finding accurate solutions by working both in the research aspect and in the healthcare practice together. She believes that it is a powerful combination; getting inspiration from practice and applying into her research.
This could sound familiar because like JAIN; Marjolein is interested in technologies and eHealth to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their partners/families. Speaking of that, she initiated successful eHealth interventions like Partner in Balance, InLife, the Braincoach and Deal-Id.
She is co-director of the Alzheimer Centrum Limburg, chair elect of the European network on research into early detection and timely intervention in dementia (INTERDEM). In other words, Marjolein de Vugt is an example of a effective ánd caring researcher and JAIN is honored that she is part of JAIN‘s expert group.
